On March 27, Sweet Vacation announced on their official site that they've gone on an indefinite hiatus. Both Daichi and May will continue with other works individually, and May has changed talent agencies to be signed with SKY CORPORATION. She's currently appearing in Piramekino, but will be starring in more productions soon.

Here are notes that both members wrote to fans (translated by me):

From now on, Sweet Vacation will be on "vacation," but let's meet again.

Everyone, thank you for always supporting us.
Sweet Vacation is going on a break from activities now.
From now on, I'll be focusing more on television and magazine work, but I'm also thinking of doing something music related too.
Hoping you'll continue your support from now on as well.

Sad to see this group stop activities, but have loved their releases so far, and wishing them both the best ;) In light of these events, I'm thinking of changing up Kagayakitai a bit by adding a few more artists I like to make this a more Japanese electro fansite (for example, capsule, A-bee, Perfume, etc). Does anyone have thoughts or requests on this?? Let me know your opinions!! :D

Just thought I would share this - the cover for Sweet Vacation's new best album, Suibake no early best +8 has finally been released :D It's an offshot from their Futurhythym live in 2010, but quite cute ;)

Why HELLO all you wonderful visitors!! So sorry for the lack of updates lately, Sweet Vacation has had no activity and I've been busy moving to Tokyo. Hopefully they'll be picking up activity soon so I can update all that here ;)

For now, I did want to announce that Sweet Vacation is planning a best album with a release in April. The first side of the album will feature original version tracks in Japanese and Thai with the addition of Sweet Vacation's previously unreleased song Catch Me Now, while the second side will feature VOCALOID remixes by various artists.
